Entropion

This is when the eyelid turns in/rolls inwards towards the surface of the eye. The symptoms are an irritable and gritty eye with redness and watering. This is because eyelashes rub against the surface of the eye. Entropion can be congenital, but most entropions are age-related and due to a loss of eyelid strength (tone).

Treatment of entropion is usually surgical
